Prison 8.5 x 11 Pencil on Paper Tools: .05 .03 Mechanical pencil, shader, HB lead Image was from a Newsweek ad circa 2000 about 30 Hours of work. Thanks for looking, feedback always welcome!
Jeese, so really technically drawn. In itself is amazing but seems painful to be drawing in so much accuracy this way. from a real life photograph maybe? have you seen drawings by this artist and magician- he seems to take much enjoyment in automatical drawing. but was a more technical drawer to begi with-it gives him licence to go with flow? It was from a photograph and it did take a while, i'm not so much into the photorealism anymore, but it was a good experience in order to learn how to invest time in one piece, something I've always had trouble with. Thank you for the link by the way, I always have an eye open for anything dealing with the old occult symbolism. I think you need to enjoy what your doing with art otherwise your just making aesthetic philosophy. Most great artist wont concern themselves with what is considered a dead or outdated medium anyways.
Your welcome J. Thanks for the reply. Glad you like the link. I understand your method of working to gain experience. You have to begin with learning by investing much time in some ways. Enjoying what you do in art is a prerequisite for sure. I'm not sure what most artists consider dead or outdated medium. All to me seems to be forever alive if u wanna hump it.
I think you mixed up some pictures. Didn you? Or did you cpoy the whole picture from the Newsweek? Anyway this picture is amazing. Thank you for uploading. I am collceting prison related pictures in any kind. Have some drawings made by prisoners. Your drawing is so accurate and detailed that I could imagine that you made in a prison...

Bad art is more tragically beautiful than good art 'cause it documents human failure.
